Welcome to your new and improved website for UniSA’s On The Record. Established in 2010, we aim to deliver news and content to students, written by your student peers. We are an online publication run by UniSA’s journalism students, focusing on topics and issues that appeal to the student community. Your new On The Record editorial team intends to bring a fresh perspective to the publication, to reflect and represent student views and opinions by bringing a voice to the student community.

Meet your new editorial team:

George Booth, Editor

George is a third-year journalism and international relations student. An aspiring broadcast journalist with a keen interest in current affairs and a strong passion to travel, George is always planning his next trip away overseas (if his bank balance will allow him).

Kelly Hughes, Deputy Editor

Kelly Hughes is a third-year student studying journalism and creative writing, and sub-majoring in international relations. A full-time coffee addict, aspiring foreign correspondent, feminist and news junkie, Kelly is a strong advocator of #TreatYoSelf.

Chloe Szentpeteri, Chief of Staff

Chloe Szentpeteri is a third-year journalism and professional writing student with a keen eye for current affairs, entertainment and all things travel. Creative writer enthusiast by day, radio producer by night, she spends her time in between with choccie and cuppa in hand or at the beach with her two delightful doggos.

Emily Pemberton, Chief Sub Editor

Emily Pemberton is a fourth-year journalism and creative writing student. She has a passion for editing and hopes to one day own an editing company. If you can’t find Emily on campus she’s probably travelling to find more content for her blog.

Aidan Curtis, Deputy Chief Sub Editor

Aidan is a third-year student doing a double degree in journalism and creative writing. He plays football and volunteers at the Greyhound Adoption Program in his spare time. Along with sub-editor Sam Aebi, Aidan co-founded the ‘Church of Ron’ and holds weekly meetings to worship him.

Alexandra Fitzpatrick, Photo Editor

Poppy is a second-year journalism and professional writing student, sub majoring in film and television. Poppy dabbles in a bit of everything, but has a passion for all things video and photography.

Samuel Aebi, Sub Editor

Sam Aebi is a third-year journalism student studying a double degree with creative writing. He enjoys writing creative pieces and is usually around water in his free time, whether it’s at the beach or teaching swimming lessons. Along with Deputy Chief Sub-Editor Aidan Curtis, Sam makes up the fifth of On the Record that doesn’t take anything too seriously.

Charlotte Lemmon, Sub Editor

Charlotte Lemmon is a third-year student studying journalism and creative writing, majoring in Linguistics. An aspiring book editor, Charlotte hopes to one day work at a publishing house. For now, she lives and breathes travel, current affairs and crime novels.

Ashleigh Piles, Sub Editor

Second-year Ashleigh Piles is studying Journalism and Professional Writing with a side of Communication and Media. An aspiring investigative journo and opinionated grammar nazi, the greenhorn loves to puzzle out all the behind the scenes gossip. Ashleigh is mad for crime documentaries, Doug the dog and all things musical theatre. You can catch Ash wearing anything denim or at a Matilda musical near you.

Sam Richards, Sub Editor

Sam Richards is a third-year journalism and creative writing student passionate about current affairs, community news, travel and sport. Catch Sam with his nose in a book and a strong black coffee in his hand.
